The Michipicoten section of the Voyageur Trail runs for 30 km south of Wawa. After passing the Visitor Centre, the trail crosses Hwy 17 and follows the Magpie River, passing High Falls, Silver Falls and Mission Falls to the village of Michipicoten. South of Fort Friendship the trail follows the coast of Lake Superior to Noisy Bay.
The trail is now part of the Voyageur Hiking Trail, which is an association of trails between Thunder Bay and Sudbury, including areas in Pukaskwa National Park and Lake Superior Provincial Park. All of these trails have been designated Trans Canada Trail. A...
