Description
The Frost Center has over 20 kilometres of hiking trails. These trails have some of the best scenery and topography in the Highlands. The hike will follow a series of looped trails for 8-10 kilometres depending on the group. The beginning and the end of the loop follows fairly gentle rolling terrain through the forest and wetland areas and along the lake. In the middle of the hike as we get to the northern end of the loop, there will be quite a steep climb to get to a ridge. On the ridge is a large smooth rock slope that is one of the highest points of land and offers a stunning view of Lake St. Nora. Plan on stopping here to enjoy the view and have a snack before beginning a fairly steep descent.
Good hiking shoes/boots and preferably waterproof.
