Scenic Drives in North Hastings

When the mercury drops and the air is crisp, say hello to sweaters, pumpkin pie and -- of course -- foliage. There's still plenty of time to plan a leaf-peeping trip.

There are many factors that can impact the leaves, such as a sudden drop in temperature or a violent storm that blows the leaves off the trees before they have a chance to fall.

We've outlined a great drive for every part of the foliage season in North Hastings. Driving is the most popular way to view fall foliage, so keep in mind that you may hit traffic along some routes.

Whether you want to hit the open road to find yourself or lose yourself along the way, keep in mind that a road trip is all about you. You decide when to start and stop, you decide where to eat and sleep, you decide what is worth a second glance.

Road tripping isn't for everyone -- but even if you're accustomed to some hand holding, it still might be for you. Perhaps you’ve tried package tours and now you want to see where the road less traveled will take you. No matter what, you'll have an adventure as you explore what, quite literally, is just around the bend. That way, if you see something that piques your interest or you get off course, you can feel free to relax and go with the flow.
